Important Things That You Need To Know When It Comes To Car Detailing
As a car owner, one of our greatest desires is to make sure that our vehicle is clean all the time, and that it functions the best as it can be. Yet, using our car every day means that we are exposing it to different environmental elements. Some of these environmental elements are as follow: smog sun, water, dust, dirt, salt, weather elements, debris scattered on roads, and the likes. Now, if you are planning on painting and detailing the exterior of your car to make it look clean and brand new, the most important thing that you have to consider is being gentle with your paintwork so that you prevent your car from having scratches and swirl marks. Take note that your car’s enemies are those swirl marks and scratches. Always remember that when you avoid swirl marks and scratches on your car, you can keep it look great for a very long time.
If you are washing your car, what you do not know is that you are actually rubbing the dirt and grim into the pain which has what we call as the sandpaper effect, causing your car to have swirl marks and scratches. This is the very reason why we want you to remember that anything that come into contact with the paint of your car must be ultra smooth and soft. As much as possible, you have to avoid using those hard brushes provided at do-it-yourself car wash bays, plus, you must refrain from availing automatic car washes. And also, you have to ensure that your car is protected from environmental elements. One very good way of doing this is by parking your car in a garage or under a carport. Moreover, we also want you to make sure that you are sealing your car with a paint sealant, or perhaps, a wax so that environmental elements will be blocked out.
For those of you out there who are detailing your car, it would be best for you to park it in a cool, shady place as this way, the sun will not get the chance of baking the wax, even though there are now modern waxes that can be applied in the sun. Prevent yourself from waxing your car under hot or cold temperature. Albeit the fact that waxes today can already be applied through hand, we still suggest the use of an applicator pad when applying the wax on your car. Right after applying the wax on the car, you can rub it in a circular motion (make sure that your circles are small, and that you are not getting the wax into the seam as it will be hard to remove it).
